Children of the Light ♥

"The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." I truly believe that. As long as you have the desire and determination to learn, you will.

As I stepped into the classrooms for the first time, I am greeted with "Good morning Ma'am." The students then wait for you to speak before they begin anything else or sit for that matter. I then think back to my elementary and high school days. When were kids ever this obedient? Granted there are the good ones.. but these young kids are just something else.

We visited two schools on our trip to India. One being our Living Hope School, and spent a couple of days with each school. These children continue to amaze me. Their warm welcomes and genuine smiles are just the cherry on top. They have no idea how much they inspire me, and touch my heart in every way possible. They’re so appreciative of the little things in life, and have such drive and dedication to learning. Kind of makes me wish I was more disciplined and driven back in my school days. I also got the special opportunity of meeting my sponsor child from the school. She's such a tough and smart cookie! And I miss her already. That was a really special and precious moment for me.

Seeing how God is working with the children has been such a blessing. It brings me such joy to see them, and spend time with them. Perhaps you'll see what I mean through these photos. I'll be sharing more photos from their homes in the villages in the next post!

dawww they are super cute! It is quite amazing how well mannered the kids are. I feel like they would definitely be more appreciative of anything that is given to them. Anyways looks like a great trip so far!
