London Calling ♥

I'm back! Fresh layout. New start. It's been awhile since I've blogged regularly, and I think it's time I got back into it. I have months of archived photography that I'm excited to share. Finally, I know. So back in the Spring of this year, I hopped on over to London and Paris for a little getaway and met up with my cousin Rachel. It is our first time traveling together, and I think we make a pretty good pair! (We're both such photo geeks.)

First thoughts? London's crowd can be a bit overwhelming. Chaotic at times.. and walking is mandatory. Everywhere. Their public transportation is expensive. (Totally makes me appreciate the system we have in Singapore and Vancouver.) Actually.. everything there is expensive. But, I fell in love with the city's architecture.. its charm, history and of course, pubs. Their quaint little alley ways, heritage buildings, museums and markets (where I did majority of my shopping!) are unique to this city.

Spent my first day settling into the apartment (Thank you Maddy & Uncle James for being such gracious and awesome hosts!) and met up with a new friend, Christy for dinner. (Thanks Christy for showing us around :) Come visit Vancouver girl!) We ended up at a ramen joint called Koya Udon in Soho, and well.. let's just say it kinda felt like I was in Singapore. We sat next to a Singaporean couple which was more than entertaining. Oh and another group behind us were Singaporeans as well. Ended up at L'Eto Caffe for some bomb dessert. And that concludes my first day in London. More to come in the next post. Got to see behind the scenes of how my cousin Rebekah stalks - er I mean approach street photography.
