Dressing your salad

I love salads. All types of salads. Especially ones with delicious dressings. So lately.. I've been experimenting with a few recipes, because it's just cheaper and fresher to make your own. Came across one the other day while I was at Gloria's for a BBQ, and she made a bottle for us to try. Let's just say I don't think I'll be going back to regular salad dressing from now on. Anyways, thought I'd share the recipe because it's super simple.. but incredibly yummy.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup of Balsamic Vinegar (You can get a bottle of it from Costco! I used the Kirkland brand)
  • 1/4 Cup of Maple Syrup
  • 2 Teaspoon of Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Cup of extra virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Clove of Garlic
  • A pinch of Salt + Pepper

Basically.. all you do is throw all the ingredients into a blender, blend it right up, and you're done! Simple enough? It makes about 3/4 of a regular salad dressing bottle. Good to last you for quite some time. Add some toasted almonds, dried cranberries and spinach and you're good to go! Let me know how you like it if you decide to try it :)
