Lyrics of the heart ♥

Someone once told me, "Music is a tonic to the soul. Feed it. " That stuck with me for the longest time. I've always loved music. The sound of instruments and voices that go together is a beautiful thing. It brings out feelings, emotions and memories all at once. It has the ability to speak volumes. Tell a story. Share a common ground and bring people together.

I have been listening to the Aftermath album by Hillsong United these past few days.. and I have to say, it's amazing. It calmed me when I was frustrated. Helped me focus on prayer, and served as a gentle reminder of what really matters. A powerful, and lyrically beautiful album. I definitely suggest checking it out.

What are some of your all-time favourite songs or albums?

Music is definitely amazing but I noticed I get super emotional when I listen to music. The only time I don't get too emotional is in the car. I tend to sing along and it makes me super bubbly.

I actually don't have a favorite song or album at the moment. OH! I'm actually really digging Linkin Park - Waiting for the End. I don't know what it is but something about the lyrics and the beat. LOVE.

That picture from Singapore in your previous post is gorgeous. Home will always be home. I feel like a part of you will always remain in the city where you grew up in. No worries; you have a life time to revisit. Maybe you'll move back one day. =D

Mm no fav song..btw the petiteasiangirl is extra petite at extrapetite.com.. haha i don't know her by her alias name but in response to a comment made a long time ago about her buying kids' clothes, yes she does a good job of finding good ones that fit. unfortunately not so much for me. I'm still trying to find a perfect pair of trousers and skinnies even tho i have a skinny or two that i'm "ok" with.

Haha same here :P Some songs bring back sad memories. Oh I'll def check that song out :) Thanks!! I really like it too. A friend posted it. They were in the double-decker bus if I'm not mistakened. Yeah for sure, I think Singapore will always be home.. even though I've spent 1/2 my life in Vancouver. I'm hoping to move back sometime :)

I love that photo of you Tessa! I've always had a soft spot for black and white photos though. But that photo totally evokes the emotion in your post.

Sorry I'm so late on replying to my comments, but I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful comment, it definitely made me smile.

I couldn't agree more with that quote. Music is food for the heart and soul. I honestly don't think we could ever live without it. I know I couldn't.

For all-time favourites, I'd have to say anything old school haha. I know it's such a vague and generic answer, but each and every song holds a different memory and meaning for me, so it's hard to narrow it down to just one. Debussy's "Claire de Lune" which is a classical song, that's my go-to for when I need to relax and clear my head.

@Nicole

Thanks :) It's so hard taking pictures of yourself haha. Glad it worked out in this case!

& no worries about the comments!! Everyone has been super busy.

Ooh I'll def have to listen to that again. It's been awhile since I've heard classical music haha.

I don't know what I would do without music, especially worship songs.
My all time favorites come from Hillsong.
I've been listening to their Aftermath album continuously for the past two weeks and it's so soothing :]
