Rolling in the deep ♥

And here's part two with Lily! I especially love this set.

Like a skyscraper ♥

I love how spontaneity can sometimes result in something amazing. I've always enjoyed being behind the camera, as it is like art to me. Capturing that exact moment that results in a beautiful picture makes me happy. Of course I couldn't have done this without Lily! This girl is stunning. Inside and out. Glad that I was able to catch up with her before we both left for our trips. Jenny joined us after as well! Girl time is always good :) Part deux in October, right girls? This will probably be one of my last posts before I leave for Asia. I'll definitely be sharing stories, pictures, as well as vlogs throughout the trip. (*fingers-crossed* that I'll have time!) I can't wait! Although.. it hasn't exactly kicked in that I'm going yet. (I'm already planning a second trip in December. Cali!) I haven't started packing, nor finished some last minute purchases, or bought travel insurance. I should probably get on that asap. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos! I'll have part two coming right up. Those ones are magical.

Hearts for the Dalits ♥

So I haven't blogged in quite some time, as the concert has been my top priority. Looking back - all those hours of planning and organizing with Kevin and Amy (You two are amazing btw. I couldn't have pulled this without you both. Awesome team effort!), paid off. It's been such a blessing to be able to share the story of the Dalits with you all. I hope all who attended feel the same, and will join us on our journey to continue this movement. This is just the beginning! From the bottom of my heart, I want to sincerely thank everyone who attended, who helped out, who supported us, and were part of this cause. I'm so humbled and encouraged by it. I love you all.

Special shoutout to Frank and Kevin, who flew up here from Cali just to be part of this. It was a great blessing having you two around. Ain't no sunshine when you're not around. Literally :( Hahaha. Thanks for adding so much laughter, joy and fun during your time here in Vancouver. I miss you two so much ♥. I need to go down to Cali to visit soon and have my mind blown, yes? Hope we'll be seeing more of each other soon!

For those of you who didn't know.. at the beginning of last week, I felt extremely discouraged. I had injured my back, and felt physically defeated. It was the worst possible time for something like this to happen. I couldn't walk, and I didn't know what I was going to do. But God is so good. He is amazing. Placing my trust and committing the concert into His hands was all I needed to do. Healing is in His hands. For once, I let go and let God. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their prayers as well. It was greatly appreciated.

Overall, this past week has been one of the best. It was so awesome to meet different groups of people who wanted to be part of this great cause, and support something I hold so close to my heart. One of the most important things I've learned during this journey is that we're truly blessed here. I've learned to count my blessings, but it shouldn't stop there. Share hope. Share love. And have faith. Do something greater. We're all fully capable of sharing His love with others, and love them as He first loved us. Inspire and act. And together, we'll change the world. Hearts for the Dalits! ♥

Just keep it simple ♥

So I'm sure those of you who live in Vancouver know that this Summer started.. well, a little late. I wasn't counting on an eventful Summer because half of it seemed to be stuck in Spring, as well, work was keeping me indoors most of the time. But.. I'm ecstatic for my upcoming trip! My dad's + girlfriends' challenge to me is to pack light. So I'm going to try and do so this time. (Goodbye overpacking!) Key word, try. Haha! Here are a  few key pieces I need to have in my luggage, as I'll be living out of that for the next month. Denim, crochet, sandals, fedoras, and accessories! When in doubt, accessorize. Pack a bunch of basics, and lug the accessories along. My new rule: Pack light, and rotate pieces. What are some of your must haves for jet settin'?

Every year we're getting closer to who we're gonna be ♥

I love birthdays. And surprises. But what I love even more is surprising someone on their birthday. So this year, my homeboy Aaron, decided to leave his birthday in the hands of Jerry and I. (Bad idea. Haha kidding!) Well we sent him on a Superhero scavenger hunt, which eventually led him to where we were. Which was.. Karaoke! Some shuffling and Spice Girls dance moves later.. we headed to Phnom Penh for dinner. (Best chicken wings EVER.) I knew he wanted Sushi, but we saved it for later on.. on the cake itself ;) Which.. I'm very proud of. Thanks to our cake team - Fiona aka Cake Boss, Elaine, Gloria & myself. Awesome job ladies!! Isn't this such a dope cake? What's the coolest or most unique cake you've seen or got for someone else?

I took some snapshots of earlier in the day as well. You know me, I hardly go anywhere without my trusty Nikon in my purse. That is, if it fits. Can't believe how fast time passes by. The Sharing Hope Benefit Concert is next week, and my trip in four. It's definitely crunch time.

It's a Whistler weekend ♥

Long weekend at Whistler? Awesome. The last time I went to Whistler was probably.. 5 years ago? Yeah it's been awhile. Not too much has changed, but it was still very much an enjoyable trip. This time.. it was with my family + some family friends. Good bonding time. It's amazing what an hour and half's drive from Vancouver will take you. I feel pretty blessed to live not too far off from Whistler. Don't you, Vancouverites? Anyways I'll let the pictures do the talking. Photo overload! Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend as well :)
