Roadtrips with sightings of giraffes ♥

I couldn't ask for a better day. It's awesome to see how our friendship has grown over the span of a couple months, into what it is at this present moment. Hysterical laughs till our stomach hurts, dance moves in the car, strange "giraffe" sightings (LOL gets me every time), and dirty jokes. This video doesn't capture every single moment, but it is definitely a reminder of a great day with some of the best people.

Almost Summer time in the city ♥

I recently went on a spontaneous shopping trip with my cousin, and after helping her find a pair of shoes and a gift, I ended up with some shoes myself. (And a lace bustier tank!) To be completely honest, when I first saw the design of these shoes quite awhile back, it didn't appeal to me at all. Some of my friends like to refer to these shoes as peasant shoes. Or shoes that look like they bind your feet. However, the story behind these shoes is what made me purchase a pair. TOMS shoes would donate a pair of new shoes to a child in need, for every pair that is purchased. Isn't this movement awesome? And have I mentioned that they are extremely comfortable..

On another note, I went photowalking with Pablo, Richard, and Aaron the other day. Beautiful weather, awesome jokes, and hours of walking in downtown? These are some of the photos I ended up with. And yes, I did use my creeper lens.

If you like it then put a ring on it ♥

It's crunch time. From planning the Benefit Concert (deets soon!) to meetings, to working full-time.. I feel like I'm caught in the chaos of things. (The trip planning is put on hold, but I'm super stoked for it. 3 months! I believe it'll be quite epic.) But above all, things are slowly being pieced together to create something pretty wonderful. And I don't even know where to start with how awesome my friends have been as of late. I've had so much support, it's amazing. Mad love for you guys. Speaking of work.. I don't think I've really talked about my job all that much.. so here goes. I actually really enjoy it. I'm glad I'm one of those people who can say they enjoy their job. Oh and I love my co-workers. There's so much to learn, grow, and experience working in the wedding industry. Needless to say, half the time my job does make me want to get hitched as well. From the beautiful dresses (I think I can look at gowns all day.), to the exquisite floral arrangements, to the photography - I love it all. And for those who are wondering.. bridezillas aren't a myths. But in all fairness, weddings are a high-stress level type of event.

However, with all that being said.. Working in this industry has been a continuous learning process that is pretty beneficial. You definitely learn what to do or and what to steer clear from. Have I mentioned I already know what style of wedding gown I want? Hahaha. So ladies, any ideas on what style wedding gown you'd like to have?

P.S Sorry if I haven't replied some comments. Blogger was going through maintenance and some of my comments have yet to be restored :(

I like to keep things neutral ♥

I like to keep things netural
I've been a bit bored with my wardrobe lately. Doesn't help that the colours I'm naturally drawn to are the neutrals. Can't go wrong with basic colours, right? Work and planning has taken a bit of a toll on me, and I haven't been feeling the greatest. Maybe that's why it's reflective in my choice of colours. But that's not an excuse to dress poorly! Although.. I've opted out my heels for flats and wedges as of late. Comfort at it's best, here's my go-to work outfit.

A Little Clarity

Feels like I'm going through this cycle yet again that brings me back to square one. Maybe it's a test of my patience. Maybe it's meant to be..? Only time will tell. Best things in life are worth waiting for, right? It's one of those moments when everything is so clear, before the truth goes back into hiding.

Funny, as my iTunes was on shuffle, this song played: Everything in it's time - Corrinne May. Love the song. Love her even more. One of my favourite local artists for sure. "Hold onto patience, and watch for the signs.. everything in it's time." Trust, faith, hope, patience & love. Best believe it.

Nature Blush ♥

Spring has sprung, and has also gone by pretty quickly. On one of the rare sunny days we got, Shauna asked if I could do a portrait shoot for her. So here they are! Enjoy. Will do a proper update soon! x
