Long time coming ♥

Finally an update. A long awaited one. So what's new? Well for starters.. I'm done finals, done school -- and I'll be looking for a job fairly soon. Just taking a break before the New Year. (I can't justify it being well deserved..) Time sure flies, and we're almost a step away from 2011. I believe it's going to be an awesome one. Year of travels, fa sho. Can't wait to create memories, go on adventures, and make a difference. It's Christmas today, but for some reason it doesn't feel like it. Maybe I just am not feeling the festivities this season. I'm definitely looking forward to our annual family dinner though. Time passed waaaay too fast this past year. Where did this year go? I can't believe here I am, on Christmas morning, looking back at what I've done and accomplished this past year.

2010 was a year of growth. New friendships, cherished memories, new things learned, as well as experienced. I've met some of the most amazing people that I hold close to my heart this year, and I wouldn't trade that for the world. This year was also one of lessons. There's always lessons to be learned, right? Well there were many learned, that's for sure. The one that stuck out for me though, is to show His love, regardless of the circumstance. Sometimes.. I think we're all way too quick to judge. We all judge and make snap decisions or assumptions about people, or any given situation. Admit it. You'd be lying if you said you didn't. I've learned though.. to give people the benefit of the doubt. To show compassion towards others. Now I'm not saying it's easy, nor automatic. In fact, it took me awhile to justify certain situations I was being put in, and find it within myself to show that compassion. But take a moment to think about the possible story that may have made them or caused them to react or come off a certain way. I don't think I could ever be more understanding, till after this year.

With that being said, I've also learned that differences should not be feared, but accepted and handled with love. With love, also comes patience. I cannot tell you how many times my patience was put to the test this year.. But I'm glad they were. Going through and experiencing these situations only led me to learn more, and grow from it.

This year has really truly been a blessed one. I am so thankful for everything that has happened in the past year, and I am excited for what awaits the next! (Okay, I think I'll just close with a few pictures as to what I've been up to. Enjoy! I promise more after Christmas.)

Sleeping to Dream ♥

(via weheartit)

I've been having such odd dreams as of late. They always revolve around my closest friends, and almost each dream has some connection to me leaving. These dreams are continuous too, with breaks in between when I wake up throughout the night. The one I so vividly remember.. is when my parents told me we were moving. Except I didn't really move. It almost felt like I was watching my friends live their lives through a looking glass. I was being isolated from everything, and everyone. I recall being so upset that I was going to be hours away from people I usually am with, and I had no way of ever seeing them again. This new place that I moved to however, was breathtakingly beautiful. It was on a beach front with pure white sand, and crystal clear waters. Colourful rocks and shells were scattered throughout the sands, and my house was on the top of a rocky hill. It was everything I could've wanted in a home. Brilliant architecture, french doors, and fresh flowers on each table. But there was something dark and strange about the place. All I knew was that I ended up moving alone, and that I had to find my way out of there. Unfortunately I don't remember what happened in between, but in the end.. a few friends figured out something was up and drove over to save me hahaha. Weird eh?

What are some of your dreams.. that left you stumped?

Okay now moving on to the challenges..

Day 9. Two smileys that describe your life right now.

:/ and :S - Mainly because school is coming to a close, and I'm nervous. Also.. I have not done my Christmas shopping yet. I swear I'm starting in October next year!!

Day 23. 10 things to be thankful for.

1. Opportunities to travel. 2011 shall be a year of travels! Disneyland, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand? List goes on.
2. Pocket calculators. Helps during shopping trips!
3. NYE plans. Hopefully it works out.
4. Fruits my mom left in the fridge for me. Yay for healthy snacks!
5. New friendships.
6. The Disney movie, Tangled. Loved it. Probably my favourite Disney movie other than The Little Mermaid.
7. My aunt buying the fam dinner at The One :) Good times
8. My cousin's hockey games.
9. My creative abilities. And that I'm able to share my knowledge with others :)
10. Books. I love reading, and I'm so glad I'll be able to start reading leisurely again!

The Turn Ons ♥

(via weheartit)

Day 8
. 3 turn ons. I think we've been down this road before.. but I shall blog about it again :)

1. Nothing is more attractive than a guy who is a gentleman. I'm not saying open the doors, pay for meals (You'll have to fight me for the bill :P) or pull my seat out every single time, but it definitely is a nice gesture you could do every so often :)
2. Guys who are strong in their faith. Nuff' said.
3. Guys who do dishes! No joke. Or cook. Doesn't have to be a pro chef at it, but it's cool if a guy knows how to make a good meal.

Even though we're only limited to 3.. I'm going to add a few more! Another
huge turn on is when a guy is respectful towards his family, and friends. I'd like a considerate boyfriend. Who doesn't, right? Also, a guy who is confident. Note: Confident, not cocky. There's a line. A final turn on I'm going to add is if a guy loves the arts and travelling. AND is as keen as I am with it. (Hello photographers! Haha just kidding. Or am I?) Since a young age, I've always been involved in the arts. Mainly painting and drawing.. but also fashion as of late. I'm fascinated by different cultures, cities and music. It's something that constantly keeps me inspired, and challenges me on a creative level. I'd eventually want to be with someone that does that as well. Someone who challenges me. Someone who teaches and introduces me to new things, and shows me the world.
