Hello, what a wonderful life ♥

It's been awhile since we got all the girls together to hang out, and whenever we do, we never fail to have fun, and enjoy the time spent together. Much love to my girl Elena for helping the girls with some of the make-up. (If you guys need her services, check out her blog!) And not forgetting her sister Ursula for coming along as well!

Being around nature has made me grown to love Vancouver so much more. I think it's something a lot of us take for granted. We're a stone throw's away from the beautiful scenery that surrounds us, and we also get the bustling city life. Best of both worlds? I think so.

After the mini photo session, we decided to head to Steveston for lunch. One of my personal favourite places for Fish & Chips? Pajos of course! For those of you who haven't tried, you most definitely have to!

And not forgetting Timothy's for a little dessert! They have the best gelato and frozen yogurt. I kid you not. There is always a line-up for their store when it's the summer time. But hey, it's most def worth the wait!

Whenever I'm out with the girls, I truly appreciate the time we spend together. From the talks, the photo sessions, or even planning for our camp.. At the end of the day, we're always there for each other, no matter what. This is what friendships are made of. So.. this was how I spent my Saturday. How about you? :)

Aritzia F/W 2010 ♥

So I got the opportunity to attend Aritzia's F/W 2010 Fashion Show earlier this evening with Vanessa. Now for the rest of this post, I'll let the pictures do the talking! xo

Gems in the City ♥

Headed to Yaletown earlier this afternoon with Suzie, and we chanced upon some pretty cool home furnishing stores. Among those stores were Chintz and company, as well as The Cross. I must say, those stores are quite an inspiration. The deco there is amazing. Then again, so is the pricing. Not exactly a fit with everyone's budget.. But hey, if you can afford it, go for it! From dinnerware sets to futons to beautifully crafted chandeliers, it's the dream deco to a perfect home. When I move out, I'm thinking I'll pay these stores a little visit to add a little touch of beauty to my own home.

Whilst at Yaletown, I made a quick stop to Bombay Brow Bar, for a little fix on my brows. Walking in, you're greeted by the lovely ladies there, and the atmosphere is so Indian glam, it's awesome. It is such a chic spot to grab some chai, get your brows done, and walk out in 15 minutes with fabulously sculpted brows.

Eyebrow massage? It was pure relaxation. Needless to say, my brows turned out great, and I'll definitely be making a stop there soon. Thanks ladies! xx

All I've got are these photographs ♥

Been going through old piles of photographs recently.. and I found this. This is a picture of my great-grandfather. (Oh he was so suave back then.) It's amazing how photographs can tell a story, and show us so much history. Don't get me started on the fashion. I actually think it's pretty amazing.. other than the few fashion faux pas here and there. If only my grandmother and mum kept all their clothes and jewelry they had from back then.. It would be vintage heaven for me.

(My grandmother and my mum)

These old photographs - to me, are such an inspiration. I love listening to the stories behind them, and just learning things about my family that I never knew. Also, looking back at the fashion .. I'd have to say, it's pretty fascinating. I've grown to appreciate it, and love it. Sometimes I wished I lived in that era, or was there for a day to experience it. I think we all need a little reminder from the past to appreciate what we have.

P.S I think I'm just afraid of putting my heart out there entirely, for you.

P.P.S Super stoked for a Fashion Show that I'm fortunate enough to attend this week!! Will be posting pictures. Keep a look out for them :)

Vancouver, in Style ♥

Who said Vancouver doesn't have style?! You just have to look. (Although I'll have to admit the whole "Westcoast" lifestyle does not help with looking like a bum at times.) I think I'll be doing more of these in the near future. Haven't been blogging that much lately. But I'm excited (and most happy) to say that I'm done with semester 2, and I'm on to #3. Oh and have I mentioned that Carlie Wong is one of my instructors?! Yes Carlie Wong from Project Runway Canada!!! Love her, she does some pretty amazing work.

You better make it count ♥

I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
Don't run out on your faith
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searching for forever,
Is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters, after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small

A friend asked if I wanted to go to the Carrie Underwood concert coming up in November, but I wasn't too keen at first. I decided to look up her songs, and found this one. I think it quite possibly changed my mind. It's amazing how the lyrics can speak in such a powerful way. It truly is inspiring. Another reason as to why I like Carrie Underwood, is her strong faith. I'm glad to see that some artists haven't lost that just yet. Anyways, this song has inspired me to take more inspiring pictures. Pictures that speak. That send a message. I don't know how exactly I'm going to go about with that just yet, but I know I need to get out of this city to do that. Anyone up for an adventure?
